The wine expresses all the character of the estate. The freshness of the Viuras at altitude and the contribution of working with lees produce a buttery wine which is long in the mouth.

Elaboration

Grape harvest. Manual

Fermentation. Very gentle pressing separating only the fraction of flower must that, after light racking, goes on to be fermented at low temperature (14ºC) and in different types of tanks: cement egg, plastic egg and stainless steel.

Crianza. Over lees in different tanks that encourage the suspension of the lees to give the wine structure and freshness.

Vineyard information

Location: Coming from one of our emblematic estates: La Reñana (1920) plus a selection of plots from Rioja Alavesa.

Altitude: 598 meters.

Orientation: East-West.

Morphology: Slightly sloping hillside.

Age of vineyard: Reñana 1920 + variable.

Soil: Limestone with clay and sandstone incursions, with a clay loam texture and very little organic matter.

Climate: Oceanic Mediterranean, with continental and Atlantic influence.

Wine tasting

Straw-yellow edged with the same color, that denotes youth.

It presents very fresh notes, like pineapple, pear and passion fruit.

It is fresh, very round and has significant weight and volume derived from meticulous work on sediment. 
Serve at: 9ºC.
